A reader asks: Hello Joel, I decided to write to you instead of Reddit, ha ha ha. When my boyfriend does something wrong like not making the bed every morning (he gets up later than I do) and leaving the cap off the Visine he uses a thousand times a day, I take it personally. I love him, but it’s like I can’t NOT sweat the small stuff. And it seems like he does small stuff all the time. My dad was very critical of everyone, and I don’t want to be like him, but these things really bother me. Which one of us needs to change, me or my boyfriend?
