I never made out with anyone until I was in my early 20s. I wasn't super religious or anything like that, I was just so terrified girls would reject me I never once made the first move. I often wonder how different my life would have been if I had a single shred of confidence then.
I thought it was so brave of you to admit this. I suspect there are many others who have felt the same.
Thanks for sharing this & my guess would be that you are so much better now for not having had that confidence then. I also really appreciate you sending this in because so many of the submissions for this column so far have come from heterosexual married women (which is awesome too, but it's nice to get some range and see that everyone has secrets).
