This is making me rethink those Brachs jellybeans, and I will give them another try today for the cause. Absolutely, as you said, jelly belly all the way for my favorite jellybeans – buttered popcorn is incredible! I got spoiled a couple years in a row getting Easter chocolate in London, where it tasted so so so much better (and where Easter was a much bigger deal) so the candy I crave most would be that, but would involve air travel. So I, like you, make do and eat all of what's available here in the meantime. Happy Easter!
Charlie, when I saw this article the other day, I took a screenshot of the title page and sent it to 5 people. Why? Because I had recently texted those same 5 people to tell them that I had just gone to CVS in pajamas and coat to buy yet another bag of Easter jellybeans to consume by myself with reckless, ravenous, tomorrow-is-never-promised abandon. Three days prior, I had taken a similar late-night journey to "pick up garbage bags" and ended up, in self-disgust-induced haste (you see, this had not been my first time in the CVS Easter aisle that week), accidentally grabbing the "spiced" variety -- same colors but atrocious flavors such as clove and several mint varieties. Turns out, I can LEARN to love anything the shape and color of an Easter jelly bean. When I came across your article I had just minutes prior declared, over text to anyone who pretended to listen, that I would NOT go to CVS the day after Easter and stock up on reduced price jellybeans. First of all, I don't even know if that's a thing (Is it? no, I don't want to know) and second, no no no. Just no.
1. It's definitely a thing. My friends and I refer to both the day after Easter and the day after Halloween as "Fat Guy Christmas" because of the deals to be found.
2. I have also grabbed a spiced variety by accident. It was... fine. After being utterly disgusted at first, I definitely finished the bag.
3. My final jelly bean of 2025 was consumed last night. I'd be lying if it wasn't a little emotional
It isn't a sweet/candy that I crave around easter... but the mugs (and sometimes egg cups) that used to come with Easter eggs. A perfect combination really - a mug of tea and some insanely delicious chocolate... heaven. (To keep with the Biblical references!)
I can strongly relate to this article, as I have a strong love for the Cadbury mini egg that only appears for a short window of time/ this time of year. I yearn for them, and squirrel bags away to keep myself well stocked into the warmer months. I understand your jellybean love ♥️

I enjoy most of the various and sundry forms of Easter candy, although I'm partial to the giant Reese's bunny, and the mini Cadbury eggs.
Peeps are the candy corn of Easter candy.
