We ran an It Happened To Me. The writer posted that it was “heavily edited” and that she wasn't happy. So in a Sassy/Jane/xoJane/AJPT first, we are publishing her original. Here it is.
I'm imagining all the crazy wonderful things everyone is out doing. And more power to them! Just come back and tell us the stories at some point, pleeeeeease
I'm just busy surviving these days...more than ever. An avalanche of major stressors and hardly any support in my life. It's all quite overwhelming, and saps my ability to even summon a single snappy comment. It just truly sucks to be nearly 60, single, broke as fuck, and wondering why I can't catch a break. It's just one disappointment after another.Ok. Well ..THAT was a comment, eh?? Oh and also, a sincere request for good wishes, vibes, juju, prayers, spells or whatever else you got because I have to figure out how to get one of my cats to the vet ( she doesn't let me near her) , and how to even pay said vet when I work 16 hours a week.
I’m not doing anything healthy unless eating tacos and watching “The Office” while high counts. I’m also reading the comments before the article. I started reading it and the editor residing in my brain passed out.
Ha! You are on the next level with this flaking issue (as am I, I must say). Never make the plans in the first place and just go straight to the TV and snacks and whatever you really want to be doing - in your pajamas.
I'm also interested to know if the editor in you wanted to start working to edit it and that's why you couldn't keep reading? I am exactly that way. I sometimes even read print books or papers with a pen in my hand so that I can mark what I would do differently.
I’m so committed to the flake lifestyle. It’s part of my resistance. I’m on strike.
Currently I’m doing a full rewrite on a 400-page manuscript I’ve been working on off and on for years. My inner editor is on constant high alert because of that. Knowing the article was unedited sent my editor into a tailspin. I wanted to rewrite everything. To be fair, I read a lot of smutty books and I mentally rewrite them, too. They need help. Or maybe I need help, over here in my pajamas, alone, rewriting everything. 🥴
I hope you all are doing more fun things than hanging out in these comments, but if not, I'm not! So find me here any time. Xo
😆😆😆 I hate when the comments get too quiet! But I guess people are doing some IRL things … which is (allegedly?) healthy!

Oh I SO wish crazy & wonderful were on my docket!
I’m using downtime while my husband and his family cook dinner to read all the posts and comments on AJPT!
Best use of downtime ever xox
