For decades, Disney was a company that seemed allergic to cultural diversity. We can all be honest that the company has had to put in serious work to catch up to the culturally evolving world the rest of us live in. In the 21st century, the company has offered some of the most beautiful stories about cultural groups that have been overlooked or whose stories haven’t been given the love and light they deserve. They’ve called on some of the best writers, composers, and voice actors to bring these important stories to life and, as a lifelong Disney girlie, it’s about time.
