I've done many wacko things in the decades that I have known you, either to make you laugh (at me, generally), or relate, or not feel alone, or to try something so that you don't have to. The thing you inspired me to do today came up in a comment mentioning Libby. I had never heard of Libby before, and at first assumed it was a cute way for saying the library, so I responded by saying “I love Libby girls!” Joyously and blatantly misspeaking is my forte - you?
Actually Libby just has such a good title that you can guess what it is in context. Which I then did. So along with my first ever book club initiation, which I hope you are joining me in to show me how it's done, I also today got my first ever (since childhood) library card. I'm so excited to have it and to use it to get books – especially now that I am complete anti-Amazon.
Thanks for always telling me about the good things. Get our first ever book club selection however you like and I'm excited to have you over to my place to talk about it in September.
Lots and lots of love and thanks for showing me the way!
PS If there is something really dumb about me displaying this code publicly, let me know and also don't show it to anyone else, please. Thank you!
Hell yeah! I've only gone into my local library a handful of times, but I check out books through them on Libby pretty much every week.
Yay!! Getting a library card helps them get funding and is an act of resistance! I love my library!
